In Amaret, the years are labeled as Y.A. or Yars Amanek (Years Before, see "Amaret: The Common Language"). This date starts at year 0, when the gods created the world and it's inhabitants.
0: The world is created, plant life starts to grow, and the populations start their simple lives.
0-150: Small tribes have sprouted in various places. Certain races find areas that suit them the best.
150-500: The small tribes evolve into more civilized towns. Law starts to develop.
503: Gerard of the air region becomes king, and the country flourishes under his rule. The kingdom is centered near a large lake and named Kumrav.
505: Human emissaries are sent from Kumrav to the wooded elf city, and peaceful negotiations are made.
517: Learned magic becomes a much larger force in Aficcin. More technology can be accessed.
523: Toven from Frohaf breach the mountains between them and Aficcin. Kumrav declares war upon the Frohafian city, Wylim, after a large scale attack.
525: Gerard is killed in battle. His son, Henry, rises to the throne at the age of 14.
528: The Toven are defeated, and still resentful of the Aficcin people.
530: The dwarves emerge as a society and build their mountain-city, Stonedark, with Bruenor Battlehammer as their king. They are peaceful.
538: King Henry's unwise decisions put Kumrav into a state of rebellion, and he is hanged for crimes against the state.
538-540: Chaos ensues in Aficcin.
540: Rebel leaders enact new laws and the country becomes a dictatorship, which soon evolves into a republic.
542: The nomadic halflings have separated into two groups, some living among the humans, the others staying with their old ways and continue to live in small villages all throughout Aficcin.
547: Government stabilizes and is at peace once more.
549: Bruenor Battlehammer, king of the dwarves, dies, and his son is put in the throne.
551: The monarchy of the Toven collapses and the powerful take over (aristocracy).
552: As one of the first acts of the newfound aristocracy, a goodwill mission is sent to Stonedark. The dwarves and the vand become allies.
553: Kumrav police capture a Stonedark caravan with dwarven weapons headed towards Frohaf, and the allegiance is found out. Gates are made to stop this, and the dwarves must pay to enter the Kumrav territory. A grudge is held against the dwarves for this betrayal.
559: Aficcin have become an elite fighting force, coupled with their powerful mages.
590: The vand have progressed further, along with the elves and dwarves, and their small cities and towns have spread out further about their lands.
603: The dwarves and humans forge a treaty allowing trade throughout lands enemy to either race.
645: Present day. The world still relatively new, allows many areas to be explored, especially the vast sea, a mystery to almost all of the inhabitants of Amaret.
Frohafians have begun to train troops, according to Aficcin spies.
The elves, who have remained secluded for many years have just begun to travel the lands once more.
Vand are still despised at war with Aficcin, but those that swear allegiance to the Aficcin government are allowed to live in Aficcin (those of the rebel Vand sect)
Recently, a ship of foreign peoples landed on the shores of Aficcin. These mysterious people do not speak any languages known to Amaret, and they have a glazed look to them.
